| What kind of
experience is needed? |
| We are
looking for people who enjoy working with children in an outdoor
environment. Experience working withchildren is important in a formal
or informal setting. Baby sitting, coaching, teaching, tutoring, Sunday
School or youth group leadership are good experiences to prepare for
camp work. Camp requires teamwork, flexibility and a sense of humor.
Specific skills that we need include: life guards, swimming, sailing,
canoeing, and archery instructors, music leaders, arts & crafts
leaders, sports leaders (tennis, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball,
soccer, and softball), trip camping leaders with first aid or life
guarding certification, Christian educators, nature and outdoor
education leaders. |
| |
| What if I need
special training or certifications? |
| Camp will
assist staff in obtaining specific training or certifications as
activity instructors or lifeguards. Prior to the start of camp, all
staff members participate in a week of orientation and training to
prepare for their duties. |
| |
| What is camp life like? |
 |
Most sessions run for seven
days. Staff work each session, living in a cabin with 6-10 campers.
There are small group classes and large group events that the staff
lead or supervise. There are 1-3 days off after each session. Staff can
stay on site or go home on their days off. Laundry and lounge
facilities are available. We are a no smoking facility. Trip
leaders work with off site programs that include canoeing and rafting
trips on the Youghiogheny and Potomac Rivers. |

| |
| Where is Camp Wright
located? |
| It is on
Kent Island, near Stevensville, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It is two
miles south of the Bay Bridge and looks out on the Chesapeake Bay
across from Annapolis. See our directions page. |
| |
| Do I have to
be Episcopalian to work at Camp Wright? |
|
No. We welcome staff of all
faiths. Our program is oriented toward providing Christian education
